Hazlet School District

Review of Still Waiting By Christine Grabowski, Elementary School Teacher

"This picture book is written by a high school student to educate our young about climate change. It is written as a fictional story which makes it easy to understand for elementary students and children. The topic of climate change is explained in a way that the children can relate to and provides ideas for ways to address this problem. This beautifully illustrated book with simple black and white pencil drawings of the polar bear cub appeals to the children. It would be the perfect book for children to read at home and provide a springboard for discussion. It has many connections to elementary school curriculum, making it a great resource for teachers and librarians to use in a school setting."
